Wrap cover leather notebook (A5)

Transcribe your favourite gingerbread recipe, jot down directions through the enchanted wood, or keep track of what you need from the local apothecary. This leather hand stamped and stitched notebook cover will keep your writings safe and sound. Interior pockets provide storage for lose papers, pressed flowers, or other flat treasures.

The cover comes comes with a filled with a lined Clairfontaine insert that is suitable for both fountain pens and regular ballpoint/gel pens. The cover can be re-filled with any A5 notebook for perpetual use (this is the size of standard medium Moleskins, Leuchtturm1917s, etc.). 

These books are finished with a concoction of natural oils and waxes - this will protect the leather but also allows for a natural patina to develop with time. They are meant to be used and abused. Scratches, stains, and wear will add to their individual beauty!

Leather notebook cover is approximately 17cm x 23 cm (6.75" x 9"). Notebook insert is an A5 size, approximately 15cm x 21 cm (6" x 8.25").

All Hex Leathercraft items are made from full grain, vegetable tanned leather. This method of tanning is more time consuming but results in a more durable product and does not employ the toxic chemicals used in most conventional leather. While extremely long lasting, vegetable tanned leather is also fully biodegradable under the correct conditions. This video explains more about the process and benefits of this material.
